MAKING A STATEMENT WITH YOUR TRAIN

There is one very special day in a lady’s life that she looks forward to……………………..............…. .THE WEDDING DAY

Every lady dreams of that very special day that she will walk down the aisle with her heartthrob.
Every lady also dreams of a perfect wedding day. That is why most couples put in their best to make the day a memorable one. The food, the décor, the souvenir’s for the guests, the venue of the event, the colour of the day and of cos………..THE BRIDAL TRAIN. All these things put together and coordinated perfectly will result in a wonderful wedding ceremony.

Sure y’all are surprised that I listed the BRIDAL TRAIN as one of the things that make a wedding successful. The BRIDAL TRAIN is very important. Many brides just assume that once their wedding dress is on ground and the groom doesn’t  disappoint, the wedding is set to start. As a bride to be, you must always have your train in mind.  You must think of how you want the ladies to look on your day of glory.  Think of their dress, shoes, accessories, make up, hairstyles etc

You must also remember that your bridal train have a way of adding colour and glamour to the occasion. I once heard someone saying that she will have 30 brides maid on her wedding day, and then I asked what for? You don’t need too many people on your train, you can have just a few beautiful ladies and still make a statement.

Another interesting thing you must note about your bridal train is the arrangement during the wedding procession. They must be arranged accordingly, the heights of the ladies must match their male counterparts (the grooms men).

Your bridal train must wear something classy, and beautiful, like I said earlier, they must add colour to the event. They don’t have to wear the colour for the day, they can wear a different shade or wear something totally different. All am trying to say is, YOUR BRIDAL TRAIN MUST BE ON POINT.

Most times when I attend weddings, there are two things I look out for, the brides maid and the bride’s wedding dress. Somehow, it gives me inspiration for my wedding day.

I love small weddings (just a few family members  and friends), but whether it’s a small wedding or an elaborate one, the important thing is, you must make your wedding day a memorable and beautiful day. Ensure that you put all necessary things in place before the big day.

GO THE LONG WAY!!!

The maxi skirt is one of those fashion items that I’ve always wanted. In a way, I think I’ve been afraid of wearing them, thinking they could only be worn by super tall skinny models, but after I saw how good my friends looked in their maxi skirts,  I decided to give it a try.

How to wear trendy maxi skirts!!!

As we have already mentioned earlier maxi skirts are quite versatile and can be great for creating a variety of looks, from romantic looks to business looks(if your don’t have to stick to office suit).
Whether you wear a crop top or tuck in a white shirt, maxi skirts are here to stay. The maxi skirt can be made as “you” want it to be.  It is great for every shape and when chosen right, it can hide  a fashionista’s problem areas and emphasize what needs to be emphasized.
Tall ladies, who want to look shorter, should choose a maxi skirt in two colors separated with a horizontal line. Flats, and a short blazer will also help you create a shorter look.
Petite women should team floor-length skirts with fitted tops with V-necklines and heels to elongate their look.  However, it would be wise to stay away from prints and frills as these tend to make one look shorter.
Slim ladies can try the trendiest design of a maxi skirt – pleated maxi but plump ladies should avoid those. Plump ladies should also be careful with clinging maxi skirts made of strong fabrics as these will make you look bigger and accentuate areas you would wish to hide.
For colder temperatures it would be wise to wear a maxi skirt (of lighter fabrics like silk or chiffon) with a leather jacket or a knitted cardigan.  Narrow and straight-line skirts can be combined both with clinging and loose tops while full maxi skirts look their best with close-fitting tops.

Have Your Say…
What do you think of maxi skirts? Is there a fashion item you never thought you would wear, but ended up loving?
please send in your comments..................'ll be waiiting!

shimmer like a star!

Embellished dresses are opulent and bursting with detail. Most of them are usually tastefully embellished with many glistering gems and beads. The attention to detail is key to the signature of a well-made dress. These elements become even more significant once you discover all of the tiny details sewn on by hand, most coming all the way from many foreign countries. if you want a cocktail dress full of sparkle, then a beautiful embellished number may be the way to go.

Embellished dresses are great but make sure the dress itself is made in a breathable fabric, otherwise a liberal spray of antiperspirant may be required. There are also embellished tops, dresses and sandals, hand embellished with hundreds of beads and crystal - glitzy with-out the fuss of sequins. so ladies! shimmer like the star that you are!!!
